Mr. Augustine Egbunu Onubi, from Ibaji Local Government Area, is a seasoned agricultural expert with a wealth of experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Geography and Planning from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma. His pursuit of knowledge has taken him to esteemed institutions like ASCON in Badagry and various National Council on Education sessions.
Throughout his career, Augustine has held several key positions, including Zonal Agricultural Coordinator in Okehi LGA, Executive Secretary of Commercial Agriculture in Kogi State, Director of Agricultural Services at the Ministry of Agriculture, and Permanent Secretary at the Kogi State Ministry of Education from 2012 to 2017. His leadership and expertise have played a pivotal role in advancing agricultural practices and education in the state.
Augustine`s contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Excellence Award from the Central Executive Committee (IDA) and the Kogi Women League, among others. His dedication to community service extends beyond his professional life, as he is actively involved in philanthropic activities and is passionate about farming, particularly in managing Phart Farms Agro-Chemical Ltd.
